The Enfield Independent on December 30 carried a letter from Anna Athow, an executive member of Enfield and Haringey BMA division, which claimed Chase Farm Hospital is billed for closure (‘We must fight cuts to the NHS’).

To the Edmonton Green thief who targeted me and stole my purse, containing £40 along with my cards, you are nothing but a disgusting low-life. I always thought I was observant when out shopping, but I now know to be more aware if I get jossled and the culprit does not turn around, or if I see the same faces around me from shop to shop, or someone walks up too close for comfort. I know I’m just another victim of this sort of crime as it must happen dozens of times everywhere, but nevertheless, I reported it to the police. So all you shoppers out there, don’t become the next victim.
