Tottenham Hotspur have signed Swansea City duo Ben Davies and Michel Vorm, with Gylfi Sigurdsson moving in the opposite direction.

Left-back Davies has agreed a five-year deal at White Hart Lane, with Netherlands international goalkeeper Vorm has committed to four years with Spurs.

As part of the deal – which is understood to have cost Spurs £15m – Icelandic playmaker Sigurdsson has returned to the club with whom he enjoyed a successful loan stay in 2012.

Twenty-one-year-old Davies only made his Swansea debut in 2012 but went on to dislodge Neil Taylor at left-back after impressing in the defender’s absence.

A full Welsh international, Davies arrives at Spurs with two seasons of Premier League football and a Europa League campaign under his belt.

The Neath-born full-back has won ten full caps for Wales since making his debut in 2013.

In total, the 5ft6in defender has made 84 appearances in all competitions for the Swans, scoring three goals.

Experienced goalkeeper Vorm, 30, arrives off the back of a successful World Cup campaign with the Netherlands in which he made one appearances as the Dutch finished third.

The former FC Utrecht goalkeeper came on a substitute in the third/fourth place play-off with hosts Brazil.

Signed following the Swans’ promotion to the Premier League in 2011, the Nieuwegein-born stopper has made 97 appearances for the South Wales outfit in all competitions.

The six foot goalkeeper has won 30 full caps for the Netherlands.

Leaving White Hart Lane is attacking midfielder Sigurdsson, who has never been a regular for the club, making more substitute appearances than starts in the Premier League.

The 24-year-old made 83 appearances in two seasons since signing from Hoffenheim in 2012, scoring 13 goals.

Sigurdsson returns to The Liberty Stadium after excelling on loan under Brendan Rodgers during the second-half of the 2011/12 season, his form prompting Andre Villas-Boas to sign him that summer.
