Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Jake Livermore has joined Hull City on a permanent basis for an undisclosed fee.

The 24-year-old signs a three-year contract with the Tigers after impressing on loan at the KC Stadium last term.

Livermore made his Tottenham debut as a substitute against Stoke City in 2010 and made 58 first team appearances for the club, scoring once.

The Enfield-born midfielder also took in loan spells with Derby County, Peterborough United, Leeds United and Ipswich Town before joining the Tigers on loan for the 2013/14 campaign.

Having made 41 appearances and helped the Humberside outfit to a first-ever FA Cup final and reaching the qualifying stages of the Europa League, Livermore expressed his desire to make the move permanent.

Hull revealed earlier in the week they had agreed a fee for the one-cap England international.

Speaking to Hull's website, Livermore said of the move: “I thoroughly enjoyed my season here on loan and I firmly believe that this club will keep on going from strength to strength.

"I made my feelings known that I wanted to come here permanently and once the two clubs had agreed the fee, it was very straightforward.

"My eyes were pretty much focussed, if I wasn't going to be staying at Tottenham, I'd be coming to Hull City.

"I think the owner and the manager, I think they've got a great relationship, as well as the fans and everyone round here. The chairman has done everything he's said he's going to do, I can only speak for my deal itself, and he has, so for that I'm grateful and hopefully as a club we push on now."
