Tottenham target Christian Eriksen admits he wants to leave Ajax and play for a club outside of Holland.

Spurs made an approach for the Danish playmaker in the summer but in the end decided to focus their attention on Porto midfielder Joao Moutinho instead.

However since the Moutinho deal broke down on the last day of the window Porto's asking price has increased - forcing Tottenham to shift their attentions back to Eriksen, who has now given his suitors the green light.

"I think that my future lies in England, Germany, Italy or Spain," he told La Gazzetta dello Sport.

"These are the competitions that I like. I will leave Ajax at one point, but I want to leave at the right moment and in the right way."

The 20-year-old wants to win something at Ajax before he leaves, suggesting a move is more likely to happen in the summer than in January.

Ajax though may be tempted to sell if a high offer came in after Eriksen rejected the opportunity to extend his contract beyond June 2014.

Eriksen said: "I do not know what I will do in a few months' time yet, but I want to leave my mark before moving on. The Europa League final in our own stadium would be a good opportunity for that.

"I have learned a lot here and I don't want to leave with empty hands. I want to win something and then move on."
