Former Barcelona winger Cristian Ceballos scored an impressive hat-trick as Tottenham's Under-21s beat Southampton 4-2 in the Barclays Under-21 Premier League yesterday.
Ceballos' three and another from Jon Obika ensured a comfortable victory over the Saints.
Ceballos, who spent almost seven years with Barcelona before coming to White Hart Lane, opened the scoring for Spurs early on with a well-placed shot from the edge of the area.
Minutes later Spurs were two up when Yago Falque's shot came back off the crossbar into the path of Obika to tap home from close range.
Southampton's Sam Hoskins made it 2-1 just before half-time but Ceballos restored the two-goal advantage with a sweet strike ten minutes into the second half.
The young Spaniard then bagged his hat-trick just after the hour mark, finishing off Falque's pass to make it 4-1.
Southampton grabbed a late consolation through Calum Chambers in injury time but Spurs ran out deserving winners.
Spurs: Vigouroux, Barthram, Stewart, Gardiner, Hall, Carroll, Falque, Parrett, Obika (Zapata-Caicedo, 75), Pritchard (Bentaleb, 71), Ceballos (Munns, 75). Unused sub: Miles.
