Tottenham will be nine games unbeaten if they avoid defeat against Aston Villa but after last week's 3-2 victory at Old Trafford, Spurs will be looking for all three points.
Emmanuel Adebayor has recovered from a hamstring injury and is available for selection.
Benoit Assou-Ekotto is still out so Jan Vertonghen is likely to continue at left back while Sandro, William Gallas and Brad Friedel should return after being rested from Europa League action in midweek.
Stephen Ireland and Richard Dunne are both out for Aston Villa while Darren Bent is likely to return to the starting line-up against his former club.
