A Spurs XI were beaten 3-1 at Spurs Lodge this afternoon by a Crystal Palace XI.
The hosts enjoyed much of the possession in the opening period but keeper Oscar Jansson was forced into action many times to keep out former Tottenham man Steffen Iversen.
However, Spurs’ resistance was broken half an hour in when an unmarked Quade Taylor headed in a corner.
Shortly after, the visitors were 2-0 up when Calvin Andrew headed in the rebound after Jansson was only able to parry Ibra Sekajja’s effort.
In a ten minute spell in which the Spurs goal was put under a great deal of pressure, Kieron Cadogan added a third goal from the penalty spot following a foul by James Yeboah.
Spurs were much-improved after the break but had to wait until the 76th minute to get themselves on the scoreboard.
Cristian Ceballos was felled in the area and the Spaniard stepped up to convert himself from the penalty spot.
The home side continued to press but were unable to claw their way back into the contest, as Palace claimed the victory.
