ENFIELD (1893) went out of this season's Middlesex Senior Cup to Blue Square South outfit Hampton & Richmond.

The Es put in a great performance against a team three leagues higher then them.

Kick off was delayed because the Hampton players were stuck on the M25 and the referee was stuck in traffic on the A406 after an accident.

The game eventually kicked off at 8.40pm and, after the Es had settled, they played some good attacking football which saw them go close on several occasions.

The Hampton keeper's outstretched leg deflected Ben Andreos' penalty kick over the bar after one of the defenders had handled the ball in the first half.

Hampton's goal came late in the second half from a free kick, which was headed passed Daniel Mbaky in the Es goal. This Saturday it's back to league action away at Southend Manor.
