ADAM FLEMING took seven wickets as Southgate picked up a nine-run win at home to Stanmore in 1st XI Division 1 of the Middlesex County Cricket League.

Fleming returned figures of 29.3-8-43-7 to help dismiss Stanmore for 116 in reply to the home side's 125 all out.

Southgate started well with Jamie Jouning (44) and Alvin Durgacharan (10) putting on 43 for the first wicket.

But wickets then fell regularly as Southgate were bowled out cheaply.

However, with Fleming and Faisal Mir (25-3-55-3) shining with the ball, Southgate claimed victory.

Oli Adamson took three wickets, then hit a match-winning knock as Winchmore Hill beat Ealing by nine wickets in the same division.

Adamson, T Henderson and Danny Amadee all took three wickets as the home side was all out for 133.

And with Adamson (79no) and Andrew Varley (40) putting on 114 for the first wicket, Hill romped to their first win of the season.

Matt Bowen hit 57no as Winchmore Hill 2nd drew with Shepherds Bush 2nd in 2nd XI Division 1.

The home side declared on 217-7, and although Jonathan Outar claimed six wickets, Shepherds Bush held out for the draw at 162-9.

Winchmore Hill 3rd beat North Middlesex 3rd by 83 runs in 3rd XI Division 1.

They reached 197-9, Tim Royall making 68 and Siran Seeveratnam 51, before bowling their hosts out for 114.
