A new personal best time wasn’t enough to secure first place for Chris O'Connor at the Grovelands parkrun.
O'Connor crossed the line in 20.19 which was narrowly behind winner Neil Kennerley (20.11) and second placed runner Sal Ozsakin (20.17).
The first woman to stop the clock was Vanessa Goodwin-Matthews and she was followed home by Johanna Howlett (23.42) and Helen Masterson (27.27).
A total of six personal bests were achieved at the event with Roger Doxey (21.48), Malcolm Edwards (22.33), Henry Galvan (25.56), Maxine Edwards (34.09) and Coral McKenzie (34.10) all posting good times.
