I agree with Jean Robertson-Molloy’s letter (‘All schools should be multi-cultural’, Opinion, February 11) that all schools should be multi-cultural.
Political parties might say ‘we’re all in it together’ or ‘one nation’, but they not only tolerate, but encourage segregated sectarian schools, which divide communities and bring children up to be separate rather than integrated.
Future generations need to have contact in school with children from all family backgrounds, religious or not, if we are to have a peaceful society.
