I write with reference to the letters regarding fly-tipping.

Yes, Councillor Chris Bond is right, the Conservatives were in power when the Carterhatch Recycling Centre was closed down, and the residents of Enfield have been blighted with rubbish everywhere ever since.

But it was the Labour group who had the barrier lowered so that cars and vans were discriminated against and small low profit margin businesses were forced to pay more or fly-tip, therefore less vehicles going into the centre.

Payment gave the green light and an excuse to close the centre because the land was needed for residential use.

Cllr Bond is right again when he said there was massive opposition from residents.

Your councillors claim to serve you all so diligently but don’t take any notice of voters unless it suits them.
