A new pro-cycling group has called for a “fairer balance” on Enfield’s roads.
Better Streets for Enfield, which supports the Cycle Enfield plans, said it wants to provide a voice for cyclists in the borough.
Clare Rogers, a member of the group: “We’re not anti-car, most of us drive, and less than half the people at our first meeting said they cycle.
“We just want balance – streets that work for everyone.”
Better Streets for Enfield is supporting Enfield Council’s implementation of Cycle Enfield, trying to raise awareness of the scheme’s benefits among its manifesto pledges.
