A man has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by careless driving after a man was killed by an overturned lorry.

The 54-year-old man died at approximately 9.26am after an overturned lorry crashed on the A406, Cooks Ferry roundabout, on the borders of Enfield and Chingford.

As a result of the incident, there are substantial tailbacks on the A406 with hours of delays in the surrounding area.

The 49-year-old man arrested has been remanded in custody and police are appealing for anyone who say the collision to make themselves known.
