A teenager accused of raping an 11-year-old girl in an Enfield park will face trial next year.
Opemipo Jaji, 18, of Osward Place, Edmonton, appeared at the Old Bailey via video link from prison , charged with the rape and attempted rape of a girl under 13.
A provisional trial date of April 10 was set by the judge, with a plea and case management hearing due to take place on January 31 next year.
The victim was walking home from school after getting off a bus in Bury Street on Friday November 23 when she was attacked and dragged into Jubilee Park, in Lower Edmonton, and raped.
