Fundraisers hoping to raise £20,000 for charity are holding a Grand National-themed night at a Winchmore Hill pub this evening.
The OLSGEIRE group takes its name from Our Lady of Mount Carmel & St George Church in Enfield Town and the words "enterprising, independent, resourceful and ethical" and is hoping to raise the cash for children’s charity Kidzone.
The charity helps orphans in Kenya by providing education and equipment.
Fundraiser Noel Sainsbury said: “Our aim is to raise money for a variety of charities throughout the year.
“It is through these events that our very own community come together and support and help raise money for others in need.”
The event at the Dog & Duck pub in Hoppers Road starts at 7.45pm.
