A STAND UP comedian entertained pupils at an Enfield school to inspire their creativity today.

James Campbell performed to year 8s at Winchmore School to help encourage pupils with their creative writing and storytelling.

He was performing as part of an educational tour around the county with his show involving stories about pets.

Mr Campbell said: “I want to help kids with their creativity, story writing and telling their own stories.

“There’s something lovely about kids looking at their own lives and realising they have a story to tell.”

The school hopes the tour will show pupils the link between creative writing and the skills needed for a job.

Wendy Winter, teacher at the school, said: “I think the tour will show the kids there is a link with the skills they lean in the classroom and the working world.”.

The show was part of a three week tour around the country in line with the release of video game The Sims 3 Pets.
