A MAN has been charged with assaulting a pupil outside a primary school in Winchmore Hill.
Ramtoola Ahamed, 25, of Pennington Drive, appeared at Enfield Magistrates Court on Friday, October 21, charged with two counts of common assault.
He is alleged to have attacked the pupil from Eversley Primary School, in Chaseville Park Road, on Tuesday, October 18, and Wednesday, October 19.
A letter was sent out to parents at the school by headteacher Pat Wood after the alleged attacks, informing them that “an incident took place in the vicinity of the school”.
Mr Ahamed was remanded in custody at Enfield Magistrates Court to reappear at the same court on November 24.
Enfield Council declined to comment on the incidents, but said: “With nights getting darker we would like to remind pupils and students to be sensible and stay to lit areas and to remain vigilant.”
