A GANG that attempted to mug two teenaged boys this weekend is wanted by police.

The two 17-year-old victims, who were with two 17-year-old girls, were stopped by a group of four boys in Church Road at around 2pm on Saturday.

The gang tried to steal property from them, but were unsuccessful.

The suspects are all described as black, between 16 and 17 years old, and were all wearing dark clothing and black woollen hats. One was wearing a light blue hooded jacket.

The victims escaped unharmed, but were distressed.

Detective Constable Jason Mayes, from Enfield Robbery and Burglary Squad, said: “We take incidents of this nature very seriously and I would urge anyone who saw what happened to get in contact with us.”

Anyone with information about this incident is asked to call DC Mayes on 0208 345 446 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
