A TRADITIONAL May Day fair and the onset of Spring was heralded with the sound of bells.
Southgate’s 31st May Day Fair was held on Bank Holiday Monday and opened by Lindsey Coulson who played Carol Jackson in Eastenders.
Children’s entertainment included go-carting, a miniature steam engine ride, a bouncy castle, face painting, a magician, a football match and games, while a bell-ringing demonstration at Christ Church alos featured.
The fair was held to raise funds for Christ Church Southgate, the Nightingale Community Hospice Enfield and the Alzheimer's Society.
