Myddelton House Gardens in Enfield and Tottenham Marshes are among seven sites across Lee Valley Regional Park to be awarded a prestigious Green Flag for 2018.
The green spaces spread across the 26-mile long, 10,000 acre park, are among more than 1,800 UK sites to receive the award.
Other sites which won the national accolade include Walthamstow Marshes and the WaterWorks Centre nature reserve in Leyton.
Now into its third decade, it is a visual sign to the public that the space boasts the highest possible environmental standards, is beautifully maintained and provides excellent visitor facilities.
The Lee Valley Regional Park contains some of the country’s most unique wildlife.
Shaun Dawson, chief executive of the park authority, said: “We are delighted to receive these Green Flag Awards for some of our key open spaces which are enjoyed by millions of people from diverse communities, from across the region.”
Since its inception in 1967, the site has played a pivotal role in providing open spaces to be enjoyed by communities across the London, Essex and Hertfordshire.
Bow Creek Ecology Park, Rye House Gatehouse and River Lee Country Park were also winners.
