Gardening Talks

Join Organic gardener George Lockwood, on his gardening talks that will leave you feeling inspired and ready to transform your garden.

He will share his knowledge and expertise, and each topic will include the information about soils required for the plants, shrubs and flowers and if they require shade or sun plus lot of tips on how to get the best out of your plants and garden.

These talks are suitable for all levels of gardener and each audience member will be given a full list of plants shown.

George Lockwood has over 15 years gardening experience and has given presentations to gardening clubs, societies, the Women’s Guild and the WI.

Streets Paved with Gold

A play by Victor Richartds - Augustus Cleveland Johnson arrived in London at Tilbury Docks in 1948. This is a story of his humble beginnings in the mother land. Share his journey, struggles, triumph, hopes and aspirations.

Bulgarian Folk Festival

Join the charity Organization Bulgarian Folk Tradition and Culture for their 7th annual Folk Festival. The day is packed with music, songs, dances and traditional food tasting from the lovely country, Bulgaria. People are invited to sense the spirit of Bulgaria - famous for ancient culture and colourful customs.

Bulgarian Traditional Concert

A concert to celebrate Bulgarian culture and literacy is being held. The folklore groups FTF Veselyatsi, FTS Gergyovden, FTK Meraklii, FTF Friends and the ensemble Folklorna Magia kindly invite you to be part of our celebration concert. Bulgarian traditional dances will be performed in authentic costumes with the unique voices of Poly Hubavenska, Rosica Uzunova, Delcho Manolov, Zdravka and Pirinka Hristovi.

Forty Hall by Candlelight

Come and visit Forty Hall after hours, when the office workers have gone home for the night. Sneak around the period rooms that have been lit by candlelight as it would have been in the 17th century.

As you walk around, you may come across the servant cleaning, the cook, or a member of the family! Watch these characters from past centuries as they go about their duties in the silence of the dark.

This event has been organised as part of Hidden Treasures of Enfield and Museums at Night 2018 initiatives.

The Elves and the Shoemaker

A brand-new Puppet Musical for all ages. Set in the village of Uppersole, which was recently cursed by the evil and menacing Dame Verruca, meet Mr Cobbler who just happens to be a…Cobbler and his wife who are struggling to afford the leather for him to make any shoes to sell. But could their fortune change as watching from on high is Fairy Insole who may just use her magic to help the Cobbler’s?

A hot air balloon festival is coming

The Enfield Balloon Festival 2018 is the only one of its kind in London. It is taking place at Enfield Town Park over the weekend of July 21 and 22.

The event will feature street food, bars, funfair rides, stunts, fireworks, a kid’s zone, reptile tents, dog agility show and of course a colourful collection of hot air balloons.
