DASH Productions is returning to The Dugdale Centre, in Enfield, for its 11th “greatest extravaganza” called DASH Goes Swing.

Audiences can expect big band and swing hits, with proceeds from the show going to local charities around the borough.

Founder, director and producer David Short, who was born in Enfield, set up the company 16 years ago and has gone on to successfully sell out 10 shows.

The group is made up of David, his daughter Sophie, as well a group of his close friends and previous shows have included An Evening with Andrew Lloyd Webber, Sondheim, Schwartz And Schonberg, Lets Go On With The Show and West End To Broadway.

The 47-year-old admits he enjoys performing in his hometown as it holds a “special place” in his heart.

David says: “DASH Productions is comprised of all local people and I feel people would love to hear that we are most certainly waving the Enfield flag with pride.

“I was born in Enfield and have lived here all my life and would not want to live anywhere else. I met my wife at an Enfield amateur dramatic society and this year we are celebrating our 25th Wedding anniversary and renewing our vows in Enfield, where of course DASH will be singing for us.”

He added that many of the performers in the group have also experienced West End success and some members have even been finalists on Britain’s Got Talent.

David says: “The show features all the greatest big band and swing hits as well as taking modern hit songs and performing them in the big band and swing style.

It is a show for everyone, filled with singing, dancing and laughter that rivals the West End. We are most certainly West End quality at east end prices.”
