A charity golf day, with competitors including a local MP, has raised £10,000.
The fundraiser in aid of brain cancer charity In Sue’s Name took place on Friday, September 16.
The charity was founded by businessman David Taylor, whose daughter Sue Blasotta died of brain cancer in 2011, aged 42.
MP for Enfield and Southgate, David Burrowes, who took part in the tournament, said: “It’s excellent to be here to support all the excellent work to ensure that we not in any way forget Sue, but recognise that ‘In Sue’s Name’ is supporting a charity that, sadly, in terms of other charities and causes, is something that is in many ways neglected.”
Mr Taylor aims to raise £1m over the next 10 years to support research into the disease.
