Public consultation on the next planned section of Cycle Enfield will begin next week.

Suggestions on the future of the A1010 North branch of the £30m project will begin at the Dharma Centre in Hertford Road on June 30, with an exclusive period for business owners to come along between 4pm and 8pm and talk personally with council officers.

This will be followed by the public having their say on July 1 and 2, followed by a 12 week period where the plans can be examined online.

Enfield Council’s cabinet member for environment Cllr Daniel Anderson said “We’re excited about the opportunities that Cycle Enfield offers to help improve this key road through the Eastern part of our borough.

“With this investment we can help to create safe and pleasant places to live, shop and do business.

“We are continuing to listen and respond to the issues that are raised throughout the extensive Cycle Enfield consultation process. To that end, I urge the people who live and work in this area of the borough to come along, look at the plans and tell us what they think.

"We are particularly keen to hear from local community groups and organisations, and officers will happily meet with any such bodies as requested."

The council will also publish a summary of the feedback from the A1010 South consultation, which finished in March, in the coming weeks, with a decision to be made at their cabinet meeting next month.

They are also taking more time to consider the Enfield Town and Southbury Road routes after many people responded negatively to the plans, with revisions expected to be revealed later in the year.
