A special school has helped to give a helping hand to those who are homeless this Christmas.

Pupils and staff at Oaktree School, in Southgate, dropped off all the goods they had collected at James Whitaker Hairdressers, in Enfield, to help charity TODOS.

The charity was set up by brothers Billy and Jon Stock, who were both members of staff at the school.

Anne Monsurate and Mandy Lawson who run the school council said: “It was really rewarding to see the children so enthusiastic about the collections for the needy and homeless.

“The staff at James Whitaker welcomed us and spent time with the students. James even wore his Santa suit for the occasion.”

Rebecca, a pupil at the school, said: “We wanted to help our friends Billy and Jon with their charity. Winter is cold and it can’t be very nice to sleep outside.”

Fellow pupil Alex added: “These people are freezing and they need to keep warm. They should not be living like that.”
