There was a live band and vintage car display as Enfield Town celebrated the 70th anniversary of VE day.
The day marking victory in Europe during the Second World War was celebrated up and down the country with war veterans from the Royal British Legion's Enfield branch, attending the town's commemorations.
Whitewebbs Museum of Transport, in Enfield, displayed vintage vehicles including an ex-army 1940’s Triumph dispatch rider's motorbike and a 1944 folding paratrooper’s bicycle.
Enfield’s deputy Mayor, Cllr Patricia Ekechi paid tribute to those who served their country in the conflict.
Mark Rudling, of Enfield Business Retailers Association, which organised the event with Enfield Council, said: “It was a privilege to see so many Second World War veterans enjoying the event and listening to them recounting their experiences. They particularly enjoyed talking to the deputy mayor."
