Almost 70 people were treated by London’s Air Ambulance during 2014, it has been revealed.
The figures from the ambulance services show 69 people across the borough were treated for injuries.
Enfield North MP Nick De Bois said: “We have only all too recently seen the tragic need for this service in the borough as a result of stabbing but it could be a car accident, a bicycle accident, or even a fall that means we need urgent attention that requires this vital service.
The service is hoping to raise enough money to use a second helicopter in the air to cover the capital quicker.
Graham Hodgkin, CEO of London’s Air Ambulance, said: “In Enfield there is a population of 313,900. If all those people were able to donate just £5 we would be £1,569,500 closer to getting the second helicopter in the air."
