A new centre for disabled children opened its doors for the first time yesterday.
The Zebras Children’s Club in St Martin’s Close, Enfield is an activities and skills group for children aged five to 16 with a range of disabilities and learning difficulties.
The centre also provides voluntary opportunities for adults to develop their skills by working with the young people.
Founder Harriet Piercy said: “We want all children to have fun and learn through play.
“We also wish for the children to benefit from coming to Zebras Children's Club and can offer support to parents whom can decide if their child would benefit from learning a new skill through working together and having a desired goal.”
Zebras Children's Club is a registered Community Interest Company. Admission costs £1 for each child attending with all proceeds paid back into the club.
