A man who sexually assaulted a ten-year-old girl has been spared a jail sentence.
Cedric Daley, of Hillside Crescent, in Enfield, was given an 18-month sentence suspended for two years at Kingston Crown Court.
Daley assaulted the girl at a community centre, in Mitcham, in September last year.
He was arrested when another volunteer spotted him touching the girl in an alcove in the centre’s kitchen on September 24.
CCTV footage also showed the man assaulting the girl a week earlier on September 17.
Daley, 79, pleaded guilty to the charges.
He denied touching other children.
Judge Richard Marks QC spared Daley a prison sentence.
