People can step back into the history of Enfield on a guided walk this month.
Transport for London is offering the walk as part of its annual 'winter wanders’ weekend on Saturday January 24 and Sunday January 25.
One of the walks will take place on Sunday between Cockfosters underground station and Turkey Street station.
The eight-and-a-half mile journey is described as "a rural roam alive with history" and explores the history of Enfield’s farms and woodland.
The walk starts at 10.30am outside the underground station, in Cockfosters Road, Enfield.
Ben Plowden, director of strategy and planning at TfL said; “Winter can be the perfect time for exploring the capital with crisp sunny days, frozen lakes and sparkling parks. So, wrap up warm and join one of our free walks and our expert guides will enrich your local knowledge by highlighting hidden gems, historical facts and cultural insights."
