Drivers advised to avoid tunnel as works continue
Drivers are being advised to avoid part of the North Circular Road over three weekends.
Transport for London will be continuing maintenance works to the Fore Street Tunnel, in Enfield, between January 9 and 12, January 30 to February 2, and February 13 to 16.
The work cannot be undertaken while traffic is using the tunnel due to the length of time it takes for the concrete to set.
During the weekend closures, which will run from 10pm on Friday until 5.30am on Monday morning, drivers are advised to use the M25 instead of the A406 to complete their journey.
