Disabled access will be improved at a station after it received government money.
Palmers Green station, in Aldermans Hill, is one of 26 train stations in the UK to benefit from £60million funding granted to Great Northern train operator.
A design will be worked on, with the project due to be completed by 2019.
Keith Jipps, customer service director at station operator Govia Thameslink, said: “We are delighted by the announcement by the Department for Transport today that Palmers Green will be made accessible to all our customers.
“This will make journeys far easier for people with disabilities as well as those with buggies and heavy luggage.
“We are very pleased this will help continue to deliver improved services for passengers across our wider network.”
