Enfield-born double Olympic champion Charlotte Dujardin has been crowned Sunday Times and Sky Sportswoman of the Year.
The 29-year-old won gold in the individual and team events in London 2012 and also won the dressage world cup finals in Lyon this April.
Enfield Borough Council has named a proposed housing development in Ponders End, Dujardin Mews after her and leader of the council, Councillor Doug Taylor congratulated Ms Dujardin on her achievement.
He said: “Charlotte Dujardin is a role model and inspiration to young people across Enfield, and is an example of how hard work and dedication can help you achieve anything you set your sights on.
“I congratulate her on her latest award.”
