A man accused of brutally murdering an elderly woman with a machete will appear in court next week.
Nicholas Salvador, 25, who is charged with the murder of Palmira Silva, 82, in Nightingale Road, in the afternoon of Thursday, September 4, is due to plead on Tuesday, November 25 at the Old Bailey, in Central London.
The Enfield man was refused bail at his first hearing on September 9, when he failed to make an appearance.
Ms Silva's body was found by officers in her garden in Edmonton. Hundreds gathered outside her cafe on the day ofher funeral on September 29.
