A property company has already hit its £30,000 fundraising target - before its final charity event.

Crabtree Property, based in Finchley, has hit its target three months early for The Lullaby Trust, which provides specialist support for bereaved families, promotes expert advice on safer baby sleep and raises awareness of sudden infant death.

Staff have grown beards, baked, raffled, and held dinner parties, quiz nights, table tennis tournaments and poker tournaments in order to raise the funds.

Now the group is hosting a fun run on Sunday, October 12, at Trent Park, in Enfield, with routes of either 5km or 10km and activities for children.

Robert Robertson, Crabtree Property Group managing director, said "Last year our company experienced a terrible tragedy when the young son of one of our team died in his sleep. We came together as a group of individuals to do something positive in the face of a heart-breaking loss.

“We set ourselves a huge fundraising target and we achieved it with three months to spare. I am incredibly proud to be the part of such a focused and determined organisation.”

Lullaby Trust CEO Francine Bates said "Crabtree Property Group is a great example of a successful collaborative corporate partnership.

“Through their fantastic organisational skills and enthusiasm, which filtered throughout the whole business they were able to reach their target of £30,000 much earlier than expected.

“We are extremely proud to have worked with such pro-active and compassionate team of employees. The funds raised will go towards supporting more bereaved families and raising awareness of Sudden Infant Death Syndrome."
