A college has teamed up with a recruitment agency to help gets its pupils into work.

The College of Haringey, Enfield and North East London has seen 43 of its students from the warehousing award level one fork lift truck operations aware level two training courses get into jobs as part of the partnership with Manpower.

A number of the students have been employed by companies such as Dairy Crest, TNT and Royal Mail.

Polly Wells, branch manager at Manpower, said: "I would like to thank the college for their support in a well-attended interview day.

“The day was a success and Manpower has gained forty three warehouse staff that will be suitable for many of Manpower's clients. I will be recommending this service to other Manpower locations."

Jane O'Neill, interim principal and chief executive at the College of Haringey, Enfield and North East London, added: "I am delighted that so many of our students got jobs with such fantastic companies.

"The success of the day just goes to show that the college's training gives learners the skills they need for employment and that our courses are specifically designed to match the needs and expectations of employers."
