Whitewebbs Golf Club member Tim Batt became the Middlesex County Senior Champion after recording a 77 in tough, windy conditions on July 9 at Crews Hill Golf Club.
To understand the magnitude of his victory, you have to understand that Whitewebbs is a club on a public course and has a membership of less than 60 members. This means Whitewebbs cannot compete with the facilities that private clubs can supply, making Tim’s achievement more incredible.
This is Whitewebbs Golf Club’s first county champion at any level in its 82-year history.
