A church helped wash more than 70 cars in its second community car wash event.
The Revival Christian Church of Enfield, in London Road, spent five hours giving cars a free spring clean in a bid to bring more people together in the community.
Church pastor Nick Chanda said: “It was a delightful sight to see so many people drive in, not just to get their cars washed but to meet and know other members of the community.
“Events such as these bring people together for the purpose of promoting the quality of community life”.
Community group Love Your Doorstep, which is based in the church, gave a helping hand to their neighbours.
Founder Emma Rigby said: “One of the ways of strengthening our community is to give people a reason to come together, which in turn leads to trusted relationships among residents."
The car wash finished at 3.30pm with the pastor thanking volunteers for their time and commitment.
He said: “The church plays a vital role in spreading the message of love and there is no better way than to start in the community where we all reside.”
