A stately home is turning back the clocks with a re-enactment of a key moment in the English Civil war.
Forty Hall, in Forty Hill, Enfield, will see the a recreation of the 1643 battle between roundheads and cavaliers.
The Red Regiment of the London Trained Bands will camp in the gardens of Forty Hall and meet the owner of the house at the time of the conflict Sir Nicholas Rainton.
The performance called ‘Journey of a Soldier’ will take place on the lawn on Saturday, June 28, and Sunday, June 29, between 10am and 5pm.
Enfield Borough Council is inviting families to come along to join in the fun and explore the full military campsite, meet and talk to the soldiers, look at the equipment, handle the weapons and try on the armour.
