A man is wanted by police after he crashed a car into a post box and damaged a shop in Enfield.

The man had failed to pull over after police attempted to stop the motorist's silver Vauxhall Insignia.

Officers pursued the car before it crashed into a post box and a local shop window at the junction of Hertford Road and King Edward’s Road, in Enfield, on Monday.

The driver abandoned his car and ran away.

Police are appealing for any witnesses to the incident.

No arrests have been made.

There is a King Edwards road round the back of Nags Head road, hence my comment. I should have realised the Independent quoted the wrong area.

There are two King Edward's Rd in the borough. One in Edmonton off The Hertford Rd, N9 and one round the back of Nags Head Road, EN3.
