MPs to take part in charity cricket match for second year
Enfield’s MPs will be padding up for cricket match to promote a youth unemployment scheme for the second year running.
Enfield North MP Nick de Bois, Enfield Southgate MP David Burrowes will be joined by Edmonton MP Andy Love for the second cricket match in aid of ‘Making a Difference’ (MAD) charity.
The charity aims to bring young and old together to help the youth into employment and launched its inaugural match last year at Holtwites cricket club, in Kirkland Drive, Enfield.
The charity seeks over 50s who are unemployed to mentor young people and prepare them for the working world.
As well as the cricket match, the event will see live entertainment, music and a raffle on June 20.
Last time our Mr de Bois’ team swept Mr Burrowes’ team aside with a convincing win, he will be hoping to make it two in a row.
