There is an error in the letter by D M Kennedy (‘Israel letter surprised me’, Opinion, April 30).
Mr Kennedy says: “Fatah won a majority of seats in the Palestinian Parliamentary election of January 2006.” It is clear from the rest of his letter that Mr Kennedy intended to say that Hamas won the election.
