Commuters on the Piccadilly line were left fuming after signal failures delayed their route to work this morning.
The signal failure occurred at Wood Green tube station and affected a large section of the line.
Some commuters took to Twitter to express their frustration.
Jake Tupman wrote: “Taken more than 45 minutes to get (one stop) from Caledonian Road to Kings Cross.”
Tara-Lee Platt said: “Between the Piccadilly Line signal failure, First Capital Connect cancellations and the resulting bus queues, my commute is totally kaput.”
Others took a more sarcastic approach to expressing their misery. Andy Cotton wrote: “Piccadilly line….. Thanks a lot for the delays.”
Tickets are being accepted on local bus services, Abellio Greater Anglia and First Capital Connect trains, but the line is still experiencing severe delays.
