Oasis Academy pupil Yashika Bageerathi due to be deported at 9pm tonight
A girl that has been on the cusp of deportation is now due to be deported tonight.
Yashika Bageerathi of Fox Lane, Palmers Green, has been on the verge of being deported back to her homeland Mauritius twice but prevented by airlines.
She was faced with the trauma of being deported to Mauritius alone on Mothers Day after coming to the country with her family in 2012.
However, similar to the first time she was due to be deported on Tuesday, March 25, she was prevented boarding the plane with many claiming that Air Mauritius would not take her back.
But now Yashika's school, Oasis Academy Hadley in South Street, Ponders End, has confirmed that she is due to be flown to Mauritius at 9pm from Heathrow airport.
Deputy principal Zoe Thompson said: "We are all so shocked here and all the kids have worked hard and they are very upset."
On online petition formed by her school friends has been widely credited with signatures booming to over 175,000.
They have also had two demonstrations in central London with many banners reading 'Fight For Yashika.'
Students have now bombarded Air Mauritius in a last ditch attempt to save their friend.
