Royal Mail to change delivery routes in Enfield

Enfield Independent: Royal Mail to change delivery routes in Enfield Royal Mail to change delivery routes in Enfield

Royal Mail will be making changes to its delivery routes in large parts of the borough.

People who live in EN1, EN2 or EN3 areas will see a slight change to delivery times as routes and methods change this week.

The postal service says the majority of customers will receive their mail by lunchtime but this could depend upon where a customer’s house is on the new routes.

Delivery times may also vary depending on the volume of mail each day.

Royal Mail says the changes are being made because the volume of letters posted is falling, and there is a greater amount of large items being delivered so the company is investing in new equipment to carry the items.

Hello. To say 'they are making a slight change' without actually stating what the change IS or will be is unbelieveable! Will this also affect N13 post codes? Already the mail is unreliable at best....!

I Must say the picture of the Post box says it all about The postal service in this country, I can remember once upon a time, not so long ago all the post boxes were regularly painted and now look at them.
It once was a fantastic service, virtually guaranteed next day delivery on First Class items 2/3 days on 2nd class. In central London you used to have 3 delivery's a day, and in other parts of London 2 delivery's and all at regular times. Its gone to pot thanks to this Government and the previous one not much better.

The delivery routes in Palmers Green N13 and Winchmore Hill N21 have already been changed. By Enfield the Royal Mail means the delivery routes emanating from the office in Southbury Road EN1
