Walkers dressed in pink as they raised more than £200 for a breast cancer campaign.

The walkers who completed the 5km course around De Bohun Primary School in Green Road, Southgate, on Sunday, raised £227.02 and were welcomed back with rapturous applause.

Despite the bouncy castle being cancelled due to high winds, children were still able to enjoy badge making, biscuit decorating and colouring activities.

The money raised will go towards Asda’s 'tickled pink' campaign, which is aiming to promote awareness of breast cancer and help improve the lives of those suffering from it.

The campaign started in 1996 and managed to raise £1,580 last month.
