THE family of a 12-year-old Enfield girl are becoming increasingly concerned for her safety.

Sirad Ahmed was last seen outside Clapton Girls Technology College in Laura Place, in the Homerton area of Hackney, at 4.15pm on Monday afternoon and police believe she could now be in Edmonton.

She got on a bus towards home but has not been seen since. She had told friends that she was going to see her boyfriend.

Sirad, who is of Somalian origin, has straight black hair and brown eyes. She is slightly under 5ft tall.

Sirad apparently recently shaved off her eyebrows but could have pencilled them in.

At the time of her disappearance she was wearing a cream casual jacket, black V neck jumper with the words 'Wisdom and Togetherness', mauve blouse, black trousers, black shoes and a black headscarf. She was carrying a red day rucksack with letters JCM on it.

This behaviour is unusual for Sirad, who has not gone missing before.

It is believed that she may be in the Edmonton, Hackney, Stoke Newington or Tottenham areas.

Police urge Sirad to contact them on 0208 345 4332, or her family, to say that she is safe and well.

People who may have seen Sirad or may know where she may be should also call the above number.
