People must have got so excited to see ppl in oppressive regimes (Egypt,Syria) fighting back last few months so feel like giving it a go to chuck a few things at police etc etc Then go home to sleep in nice safe bed while having nicked some silly stuff from shops on way home. Idiots. Waiting for a clamp down? They would wet themselves & go crying to mummy if it really came on top.

This is a Terrorist attack on the City of London. The police are unable to control the situation.

The Prim-minister needs to call a State of Emergency and call in the British Army (ARMED) and a curfew in the Tottingham and its surrounding areas.

I say again this is not the usual type of protest that we expect on the streets og Bratian. This is a Terrorist attack by unknown Terrorist.

Celtic - Britons First says...

These terrorist attacks could escalate far afield. Midlands, North West, North East and many more City's and Towns up & down the UK.

Everyone should be very alert at a time like this.

Wow, how predictable. The illiterate racists come out in force.

Yes, the majority appear to be black/asian BUT there are also a fair few white faces caught on camera!

The bottom line is that anyone who takes part in these riots are criminals, regardless of skin colour. They are not terrorists, just opportunist thieves that need to be dealt with properly.

Bring in the army or allow the police to be armed and use the necessary force.

Do not turn this into a petty race issue when clearly it's a mixture of all!

I couldn't agree more. It's incredibly ignorant to start with racist comments especially when white people have had their share of sub-human behavior. Let's look at hitler and his troops. They were white. White people killing native Americans. And then there is the kkk lynching people, children because of skin colour. There is Good and bad in ALL cultures. For anybody to think that they are superior because of skin colour is just demonstrating their own ignorance and lack of intelligence

Burning and looting is wrong but don't forget it is happening on our tv screens across the world in the Arab world, in Port of Spain, etc there are many uprisings against poverty, injustice, unfair political treatment, racism in UK society so it's not very surprising to see the black youth of this country take to the streets, when their is a large excited crowd it is very easy for youth to get drawn into acts of criminality but I think we should offer the olive branch to these youth and try to understand how they feel instead of just discarding their feelings and locking them up and throwing away the key! free the youth!

Sounded good when Enfield residents went out on streets to protect people & property though a few days too late! Pity was spoilt by blokes getting drunk & some racist behaviour eg why 'march' down Hertford Road where small businesses are & abuse 'pakis?' Much more impressive was response in Hackney when was kicking off, traders (Kurdish, Turkish) not having any of it, right out there when it was happening, not 2 days later. Defending businesses and community.

So many people who are immigrants & come from areas of world torn by war, famine etc making a new life, being self sufficient, not claiming benefits, getting livelihoods destroyed..... By people who have had all opportunities to get educated since birth, who aspire to nothing in schools, whose best bet is ripping off stores to get 'stuff.' Dont worry about kids who dont speak english stopping the others from getting educated. It's the ones who have no barriers apart from their own families that are the problem. They drag all kids down! They want flat screen TVs and designer clothes & they want it now!

Disagree ... it's because of weak immigration policies in the UK that has allowed far too many people into an already overcrowded country without first seeing if all of them have secured jobs and housing has made the employment & housing situation really bad ... there's not many countries in the western world that you just arrive , claim asylum & stay for many years knowing once you have had a child with a hook-up partner the chances of being removed is almost nil ... none of this has helped the situation today with British people trying to compete for fewer jobs with newer immigrants & the black market immigrants not even on the population radar ... basically , the Conservaties , Lib-Dems , & Labour politicians have failed the British public ... no wonder the electorate are getting fed up with the old gang politicians.
