One of the more unexpected transfers at the start of deadline day has been completed with Louis Saha moving to Tottenham Hotspur on a short-term deal until the end of the season.
The 33-year-old, who was left out of the Everton team that beat Manchester City 1-0 tonight, was due to be out of contract at Goodison Park in the summer.
The former Fulham, Newcastle United and Manchester City has struggled this season, scoring just twice, but he will be hoping for a new lease of life under Harry Redknapp.
“I like Saha,” the Spurs boss told Sky Sports News this evening. “He’s got good movement, can score goals but probably needs a change. He’s out of contract at the end of the year so David Moyes let him go.
“I can remember speaking to Rio Ferdinand and he said he was the best forward he’s played against.”
